The 2025 NARBA Conference took place on February 3rd-6th in Kona on the Island of Hawai’i!
We teamed up with The North American Strawberry Growers Association (NASGA) to host the 2025 annual meeting and conference at the OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa on the Island of Hawai’i. The 2025 Conference offered premium opportunities to network, learn about latest advancements in research, and hear about emerging technologies in the caneberry and strawberry industries across North America.
Schedule
The 2025 conference kicked off with an opening reception on Monday, February 3rd and educational sessions began on Tuesday, February 4th. Conference content continued on Wednesday, February 5th and there was an Island of Hawai’i agricultural tour on Thursday, February 6th.
2025 Conference Poster Sessions
The North American Raspberry & Blackberry Association and the North American Strawberry Growers Association are pleased to offer conference participants a way to share their latest research findings. Posters may be submitted by undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and extension educators associated with academic institutions and government agencies (USDA, etc.), and by industry researchers.
Our Host DISTRICT
Our conference took place at the OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa, located in the beautiful Kona District, which stretches across almost two-thirds of the entire West side of the Island of Hawaiʻi. Attendees were able to explore a variety of shops, restaurants and nightlife, take advantage of a walking tour of Kona’s history, or head to south Kona to explore the clear, calm waters, perfect for snorkeling, sailing, and diving. And, don’t forget to sample the distinctive flavors of Kona coffee!
Our Hotel
Thank you for joining us at The OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa, perched above the lava cliffs of Keauhou Bay with newly renovated rooms, breathtaking views, a multi-level fantasy pool with a 200 foot water slide, and many complimentary resort activities including cultural activities, live music, hula lessons, yoga classes, lei making, and ukulele classes. There are also opportunities for manta ray viewing in Keauhou Bay and a cultural tour of the nearby historic villages. Guests are welcome to enjoy the foods and flavors of the Island of Hawaii and the Kona coast at The OUTRIGGER’s resort restaurants and bars which feature locally sourced food and drinks made from the freshest produce and seafood.
Feast and Fire Luau Discount
For the ultimate in a Hawaiian dining experience, the Feast and Fire Luau and Dinner Show is offered on Mondays and Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm. Advanced reservations are advised. The OUTRIGGER Kona Resort and Spa is offering a 20% discount on tickets for the Feast and Fire Luau to our conference attendees, only valid on Thursday, February 6th. The agricultural tour will return to the hotel to allow time for attendees to join this unique experience.

Industry showcase
In conjunction with the main conference, the Kaleiopapa Convention Center also hosted booths of products and services for strawberry and caneberry growers and industry. These exhibit spaces were directly connected to the main conference area and were visited before, during and after all 2 days of sessions with dedicated times each day. Contact information for all exhibitors were included in an exhibitor guide that was provided to all attendees.
Exhibitor Fees: $800 for a single 6′ table, draped and skirted. The exhibitor fee includes ONE full conference ticket. Please note that there is limited space for exhibitors and we filled spaces on a first come, first serve basis.

2025 Conference Registration
Please note that only one ticket type will be offered for the 2025 North American Berry Conference. This ticket is inclusive of all educational sessions, the opening reception (Monday, February 3rd), the Island of Hawai’i Agricultural Tour (Thursday, February 6th), daily lunches (4th & 5th) and all refreshment breaks. We may offer guest tickets for the agricultural tour based on availability at a later date.
Current NARBA and NASGA members are given a $100 discount on their conference ticket(s).
